Marshal stole my Bible study group...

So last night. Big Bible Study 20+ ppl. I break the group into groups of 4 or 5 people. I sit down to run my group of Sam (Korea), Su (China), Tony (Vietnam) and Marshal (China)...only to find that it had already started with Marshal at the helm! I smiled, then I laughed and then I left the room without any of them noticing. After that I was listening outside the room. He was doing well, having fun with it but leading and teaching. He's only been a Christian for a year. I'd have never picked him as a 'self starter'. At the end of his Bible study, which was on John 3:16, the men were asking him about the 'birds and the bees' and I heard him answer many questions with confidence, my favorite answer being; 'no definitely not.'
After the Bible study I caught Marshal for a few seconds and he said 'it felt really good...i'd like to do it again if you trust me.'
Pretty great hey?
Could he be a leader for 2010? nah too early right?
Hmmm...

This is awesome Luke! I know it's a cliche but it never fails to amaze me what God cooks up while we're thinking it's all up to us and our efforts.

Hi Luke, Sometimes it's too late. I've learned in recent times to invest both in those who look like they are worth investing in, and those whom God is simply using.

Thanks guys (nice to hear from you W.)... you know, that morning I was explaining to Marshal that his body language during my Bible studies is a little child-like and distracted, thinking 'wow... this guy has a long way to go...' that night he's running a Bible study himself.
